When installing something, I ran into the following error during cmake:

-- checking for module 'mozjs185'
-- package 'mozjs185' not found

As usual, I copied the module name and then ran:

# yum search mozjs185

The result was Not Found (duh—if it hadn’t been not found, I wouldn’t be writing this...).

So I went straight online to find a fix.

Many sites let you search for packages by their contents (I used this one). After going there, I searched for "pkgconfig(mozjs185)" and got a list of results.

Since I’m on Fedora, I could see which RPM package contains mozjs185 and where it lives:

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/development/19/x86_64/os/Packages/j/js-devel-1.8.5-13.fc19.x86_64.rpm

In fact, all it takes is:

Bash
# yum install js-devel -y

And that’s it.
